A few images of the Lincolnshire Wolds showing the undulating nature of the hills
and the chalky texture of the soil.
All images taken on a Panasonic FZ150.
A typical fishing boat operating out of Grimsby now, up on the slipway for repairs and a "paint job" and two boats in freezing fog on the quayside.
A couple of Grimsby boats and one from Jersey by the look of it's number letter.
Thro' the eye of an old anchor.
This old anchor was left on the South Quay for quite a long time,
presumably dragged up by someones net?
The view from the observation tower at the top of "The Point" a block of luxury appartments on High Cliff.
"The Winter Gardens", a popular place of entertainment for dancing, weddings and a resturant. A local landmark, now sadly no more. It was demolished to build more luxury flats but then the recession came along and put paid to that idea. It is now just a flat piece of waste ground, someone had the idea of using it as an all day car park, £3 pounds a day! It is sadly missed as a venue, especially by the patrons of the "Bags Ball" on a Wednesday night! Maybe best to leave it there though!!!
Once the local Electricity Board showrooms where we used to buy cookers etc from or go to pay your electric bill. A lovely art deco building, I once worked inside it when I was a BT telephone engineer and it is a real treat to see.
This small house stands opposite a more modern block of flats.
This is our lovely old Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, Jasper who we lost
a few weeks ago aged 13.
We said we wouldn't be able to have another dog but couldn't resist this little puppy, another CKC here
aged 2 weeks old. She is now 9 weeks old and at home with us. We've called her Suzi.
3 weeks old and still with her mum.
10th April, 8 weeks old and now at home with us. Resting with her new friend.
Caught in the act!
Suzi is now a VERY LIVELY puppy!
Even the dog has to have some bespoke clothing! They appeared perfectly natural against
this huge steam crane.
Quite a group of natty dressers.
Note the gents tie with clock motifs.
The sheriff and a couple of saloon girls?
It's a dogs' life.
My favorite image from this group, fantastic head gear!!!
The "Group Shot". A great set of people who loved to be photographed.
I enjoyed this photo opportunity far more than the steam traction engines.
For the photographers among you these images taken on Panasonic DMC FZ150.
